Driven by an increasing demand for excellence and punctuality, the quartz wrist watch has become a stable time piece for anybody with a need to be on time. Since the first commercial quartz watch became available in 1969 the technology has gone from strength to strength while becoming ever smaller. Well up until recently the technology wasn’t affordable or justifiable, a larger than normal radio controlled wrist watch could have cost upwards of £1000. But with devices available for less than £100 and costs decreasing it is only a matter of time before the revolution begins.

5. Incredibly cool. Maybe this should have been number one. Everybody has an inner geek. But a watch controlled by radio signals? Surely that appeals even the most macho of people. It may just have something to do with the innate curiosity of the human race.

Finally, the Olympus Tough Series makes a great camera. They are waterproof down to 33 feet, shock proof up to 6.6 feet, freeze proof down to 14 degrees, and some models are crush proof for up to 220 pounds. There are also some pretty cool options once you get inside this camera. There are several different effect modes and it also shoots high-definition video. While some of the other models listed above might be a little more high-priced, this little gem is a real bargain at around $200.

Now, if you’re one for downloading DVDs and watching streaming satellite television every few days, then you will want to purchase the 64G. This small tip is just to save you extra unnecessary expenses on your pocketbook. Then of course, there is the color. You can choose between white and black. Don’t worry because if you don’t like either of those colors, there are tons of skins available ranging from each of the solid rainbow colors to tiger skin designs, sceneries, oceans, flowers and more.

The main drawback with the iPad 2 is that the screen gets dirty pretty easily, provided that its main use requires your hands to touch it. Make sure your hands are clean and relatively dry and not greasy. If you plan to use it frequently, make sure you invest in a good screen protector. If you’re out in the sun, try to use your iPad 2 in a shaded area because the sun glares off of the screen. Also, there’s no Flash support for this tablet, so if you’re visiting websites that have flash, then those parts of the websites won’t show up. All in all though, the pros definitely outweigh the cons, and your purchase will be a great one if you decide to go with iPad 2.
